I have been comparing VPN options for my iPhone because I spend quite a bit of time browsing from the phone and would prefer to have some extra privacy without making everyday use complicated. I am not really looking for a long list of advanced settings, but I do want something that covers the basics properly and works naturally with iOS. Privacy is probably the main thing I care about, although protection when using Wi-Fi and having a simple way to connect also sound useful. I am trying to figure out which features actually matter before installing anything.

I was looking at the same things recently and found this iOS page useful: https://toggle.org/vpn-for-ios. It explains that the service uses a no-logs policy and includes features such as one-tap connection, a kill switch, split tunneling and automatic protection on Wi-Fi. There is also ad blocking mentioned on the page, which caught my attention because it fits naturally with regular browsing. I like when these details are explained together, since privacy is not really just one setting. For an iPhone, having several practical options in the same app seems easier than constantly adjusting different things separately.

Privacy can definitely be easier to think about when the different parts of the service are considered together. A VPN may be used for ordinary browsing one moment and for a Wi-Fi connection the next, so having the relevant protection available without changing the whole setup makes sense. I also think simple controls are important on a phone because people usually want to get on with what they are doing rather than spend time managing the VPN itself. Looking at the privacy policy, connection options and everyday features together seems like a reasonable way to compare iOS VPNs.
