Himālaya: Exploring the Roof of the World

Depending on your point of view, Himālaya is referred to as either the "roof of the world" or Asia's "water tower"; mountains can be viewed as either trophies or as something sacred. Even today, people are mystified by Himlaya's tallest peaks, especially the Asians who live at their foothills and the Europeans (and a few East Asians) who seek to ascend them.
