In New Jersey Careless Driving Statute is described in Section 39:4-97 of the New Jersey Revised Statutes. According to this statute, a person who operates a vehicle carelessly or without due caution, in a manner that endangers or is likely to endanger a person or property, can be charged with careless driving.

Careless driving is considered a catch-all law that covers any form of unsafe operation that is not covered by other existing traffic statutes. It is important to note that careless driving is different from reckless driving and is generally considered a less serious offense. However, it still carries significant penalties, including points on your driver's license and fines.Monmouth County Reckless Driving Attorney
