Planning to explore Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda in a single trip? This joint travel authorization removes the hassle of applying for separate permits. The single eTA covers all three countries, allows multiple entries, and stays valid for 90 days from your first entry. You can start your journey in Nairobi, Kampala, or Kigali and move freely across borders for tourism purposes only. Just remember that this permit is not valid for work, study, or long term residence. A critical rule is that your first entry must be through the country that issued the visa. Every traveler including minors needs their own eTA. For complete details on requirements and application steps, visit the East African Tourist eTA page. Kenya currently issues this eTA again after a brief pause. Keep a printed copy with you for border inspections and always verify the latest rules before you travel. The application is fully online and requires a passport valid for at least six months.
