Duplex nails, sometimes known as scaffold nails, are polished double head nails. Polished is the surface treatment. The double caps, as the name implies, are its most distinguishing characteristic. The fastening cap is on the bottom, and the nail cap is on the top. When temporary building projects are finished, the distinctive configuration is designed to make demolition easier. Workers can drive nails until the bottom fastening cap is flush with the material, then pull it out with a claw hammer, nail lifter, and other tools as needed. Double cap nails are appropriate for temporary wood structures like supports, scaffolding, formwork for pouring concrete, and temporary roof connecting boards.
