I totally feel your pain when it comes to dealing with flight delays, especially with Aer Lingus. It's always a bummer when your plans get disrupted, but fear not, because there are ways to strengthen your compensation claim and make sure you get what you deserve. First things first, let's talk documentation. The more evidence you have, the better your case will be. Start by collecting your boarding pass, flight itinerary, and any communication you received from Aer Lingus regarding the delay. Screenshots, emails, and text messages are your new best friends in this situation. Now, here's a little extra tip: note down the actual departure and arrival times of your flight. Sometimes airlines provide estimated times, but having the real deal can make a difference. If there were any announcements made at the airport or updates from the airline staff, jot those down too. Oh, and don't forget about photos! If you took any snaps of the departure board, the long queue at the customer service desk, or anything else related to the delay, those could serve as visual proof. Another important point to consider is to keep records of any additional expenses incurred due to the delay. Did you have to grab a meal, book a hotel, or spend extra on transportation? Hang on to those receipts – they might be your ticket to reimbursement.
